Worksurface Description: Phenolic resin or solid phenolic compact (SPC) countertops are manufactured by layering natural kraft papers that have been saturated with phenolic resin (a synthetic polymer obtained by the reaction of phenol or substituted phenol with formaldehyde) and cured under high heat to form a  composite panel. This material is a great countertop option if you’re looking for durability, cost-effectiveness, and aesthetics for laboratory workbenches and casework countertops.

They are ideal in various heavy-duty scientific applications, healthcare lab settings (e.g. urology and hematology labs), and water treatment plants.
