Becoming an increasingly popular alternative to resin, wood, and even natural stone, HDPE is great choice for your facility if you work with moisture or food. Available in a variety of colors, HDPE can add a colorful splash to a lab or food prep facility or can be installed in elegant neutral colors for a more subtle touch.
HDPE or high density polyethylene is a thermoset polymer made from petroleum. it's one of the most versatile plastics around. It's used in various applications of jugs, bottles, cutting boards, piping and more.
HDPE is known for its superior tensile strength and large strength-to-density ratio. With a textured surface, it has high impact resistance and melting point as well. HDPE countertops are FDA, NSF & USDA approved and designed to be low maintenance and long-lasting. In addition it's also an easily recyclable material and resists common chemicals, water, and cleaning fluids.
