TYPES OF LABORATORY CABINETS & CONFIGURATIONS

Notes:

  • We offer metal lab casework, stainless steel, wood, and PLAM
  • All dimensions listed in inches
  • Cabinet configurations with 2 or more doors should not be less than 30″ wide
  • Cabinets with only 1 door cannot be more than 24″ wide
  • All heights DO NOT include countertop thickness. Please add that to the cabinet height to determine your final bench height.

LAB BASE CABINETS

Base cabinets are standard floor-mounted casework, without any epoxy resin sinks, corner placement, or another mounting. This is often referred to as a lab bench, though the term is used by some to instead refer to table frames with epoxy tops.

SINK CABINETS

Similar in all ways except this type of lab casework has undermount, drop-in, or integral sinks in the tops. These can be epoxy resin drop-in or undermount, and stainless steel or solid surface integrals. While usually present in a run of base cabinetry, a sink cabinet can be placed a the end cap of a lab island to create an easily-accessible workstation.

MOBILE CABINETS

Most commonly used for underneath benches and desks, mobile cabinets are extremely high-quality solutions for modular labs that require flexibility for both research and education.

MODULAR REAGENT SHELVING

Suspend cabinets are fixed to the underside of our workbenches and islands. These are easy to reach at arms length, but are fixed in place and sacrifice the modularity of mobile cabinets.

COUNTERTOPS
