Worksurface Description: Phenolic resin or solid phenolic compact (SPC) countertops are manufactured by layering natural kraft papers that have been saturated with phenolic resin (a synthetic polymer obtained by the reaction of phenol or substituted phenol with formaldehyde) and cured under high heat to form a composite panel. This material is a great countertop option if you’re looking for durability, cost-effectiveness, and aesthetics for laboratory workbenches and casework countertops.
This color is available in Standard or Fire-Rated Grade of Phenolic Resin. These grades are a durable, self-supporting decorative surface material. Best in areas where no chemicals will be used (standard grade) or useful for building codes that require a rating of Class A (or 1) (fire-rated).
