Maple is a traditional choice for butcher blocks, with fine grain and generally light colors. It has a smooth texture but is also very resistant and durable. Originally used primarily in butcher shops and meat processing plants, maple block as become a popular surface for workbenches, commercial kitchens and tables.
Maple block is ideal for warehouses, shipping facilities, breakroom table tops and counters, heavy duty tables, workshop tables or receptionist desks tops.
